The Kenya power (K.P.L.C) unveiled variety of ways to check  electricity bill called (the E-bill) for its customers to be able to access services more efficiently. This is in its quest to maintain high standards of customer service and to ensure that bill are paid  in good time and through various media.you can now check your  monthly bill in 3 easy ways below

• Check your E-bill via SMS Service:

This service allows you to query your electricity account balance and bill due date    using your mobile phone. in the steps as follow:

1. Open a new SMS message.
2. Type the first part of your account number in the message field. For example, if your account number is 998877-01, just type 998877.
3. Send the message to 95551.
4. In a few seconds you will receive an automatic reply with your account balance details. This service works for Kenyan networks. this service is charged at Kshs. 5/- above the normal SMS rates.

Check your E-bill via e-mail Service:

• This service enables you to check your electricity account balance and bill due date via e-mail    follow the steps

1. Open a new e-mail message.
2. Type the first part of your account number in the subject field. For example, if your account number is 998877-01, just type 998877.
3. Email the blank message to bill@kplc.co.ke Within a few minutes you will receive an automatic reply with your account balance details and payment due date.

• Check your E-bill via website:

• This service enables you to check your electricity account balance and bill due date via the KPLC Website located here just type your kplc account number eg(1234567-01)and click submit.
